Donalee Campbell
YAA Senior Teacher (800 hrs+)
Coordinator, YAA Teacher Training & Certification Program
Phone: 780-922-0125

Donalee Campbell is a Certified Senior Teacher (800hrs+) with the Yoga Association of Alberta (YAA) with over 10 years and 2,000 hours of teaching experience, and is Coordinator for the YAA Teacher Training and Equivalency Certification Programs.  In 2018 she sat on the Advisory Group for Teacher Qualifications as part of the Yoga Alliance Standards Review Project.  She leads heart-oriented, accessible classes and workshops for adults, kids, seniors and families in Sherwood Park and area.

Classes are theme-based hatha yoga that vary from week-to-week.  The pace varies from calm and gentle to flowing and strong, with modifications and props offered for injuries and limitations so everyone can participate.  Interspersed throughout each class is training in breathing techniques, mindfulness, and guided meditation.  Classes end with a deep relaxation that leaves you refreshed, revitalized, and ready for the rest of your day, or prepared for a good night's sleep.

Donalee is a passionate yoga teacher and trainer, and a strong advocate for high quality yoga teacher training. Resonating deeply with the philosophies of yoga, she also leads the yoga philosophy component of teacher training at Yoga for Today in Sherwood Park, and aspires to embody truth, consciousness and bliss in yoga and in life.

Originally trained with the YAA’s 300-Hour apprenticeship-style program, Donalee completed most of her training with Iyengar and Anusara teachers, and has taken several other trainings including Yin Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Yoga for Kids, and Acupressure Massage, as well as university studies in dance, psychology, philosophy, and religious studies.
